Bio

Marc Anthony is a three-time Grammy award winner and the top selling tropical salsa artist of all time who has sold over 12 million albums worldwide.

Anthony was one of eight children in his family and was born in New York and Grew up in East Harlem. His parents are both Puerto Rican and named him after the Mexican singer Marco Antonio Muñiz.  His father was a professional guitarist and Antony learned to sing in both Spanish and English, as well as play the guitar, throughout his childhood. Marc Anthony and Jennifer Lopez were married in 2004 and had twins, Emme and Maximilian Muñiz before eventually announcing the couple’s separation in 2011.

Anthony released his first studio album in six years in 2019, called OPUS which was his 8th salsa album in the past 26 years. OPUS has since earned the #1 spot at Billboard’s Tropical Airplay list and four Latin American Music Awards nominations.

He has gained many accolades for his years of work, including being recognized by New York Magazine as one of the top 10 most influential New Yorkers and an induction into the Billboard Hall of Fame. He has had  25 Billboard chart hits and was honored as the Person of the Year by the Latin Recording Academy in 2016.

In addition to music, Anthony has played numerous movie roles including films like Man on Fire and El Cantante, where he acted alongside then-wife Jennifer Lopez. He has also launched the Maestro Cares foundation which has opened orphanages and youth homes in countries such as the Dominican Republic and Colombia.
