Matthew McConaughey and Woody Harrelson are starring in a new comedy on Apple TV. Woody Harrelson is most known for his role as Haymitch in the Hunger Games series. The two stars have previously worked together on the production of True Detective.
The currently untitled show has received a ten-episode order from Apple. It will star longtime friends and colleagues Harrelson and McConaughey, who first worked together on the 1999 Ron Howard comedy EDtv, and later the acclaimed first season of HBO’s True Detective, as fictionalized versions of themselves. This show will be produced by David West Read for Skydance Television. This show is sure to be a true winner with Woody and Matthew’s history and sense of humor. The series is described as “a heartfelt odd couple love story revolving around the strange and beautiful bond between Matthew McConaughey and Woody Harrelson. Matthew and Woody’s friendship is tested when their combined families attempt to live together on Matthew’s ranch in Texas.”
Anyone who has seen these two knows this show will be a comedy for sure. Both actors have a talent for making people laugh and bounce jokes back and forth; this will keep the excitement going throughout the first season. It is safe to say that no one can predict what to expect from these two comedy stars.
