Mauricio and Ricardo Montaner are Venezuelan singer/songwriter brothers, better known as the Reggaeton and Latin Pop duo Mau y Ricky. They were born in Caracas, Venezuela but raised in Miami, Fl, and are fully bilingual.

 As the sons of the award-winning Venezuelan singer Ricardo Montaner, the duo had an early start in developing their talents, studying music at the ages of 4 and 6. They also co-founded a band at church where they played weekly. By 2011 they began performing as “MR,” but then changed to the current name, Mau y Ricky, in 2015. Many of their chart-topping hits include “Mi Mala” remix featuring Karol G, Becky G, Leslie Grace and Lali, “Desconocidos” featuring their brother-in-law Camilo, and “Ya No Tiene Novio” featuring Sebastian Yatra. As songwriters, they have composed for a number of notable artists including Chayanne, Thalía, Leslie Grace, Miguel Bosé, Cristian Castro, Ricky Martin, and Karol G.

 Mau y Ricky also served as coaches on the reality television show “La Voz Colombia” alongside judges Fanny Lu, Gilberto Santa Rosa, Andres Cepeda, and their father.
