Grammy winner Megan Thee Stallion recently announced that she is teaming up with Popeyes and there will be a limited edition of her own merchandise and a special sauce called the “Hottie Sauce.”
Not only did Popeyes collaborate with Stallion on the sauce, the rapper also became a Popeyes franchise owner and business partner. Starting on October 19th, you can get the Megan Thee Stallion Hottie Sauce and a new variation of the Popeyes Chicken Sandwich.
The fast food chain celebrated their partnership with the rapper by making a six figure donation to the Houston Random Acts of Kindness, whose mission is to promote empathy and compassion while encouraging selfless concern for the welfare of others in the Houston community.
“I’m appreciative of Popeyes commitment to empowering Black women and look forward to opening Popeyes Restaurants,” Megan Thee Stallion said in a statement. “Teaming up with Popeyes is such a milestone in my journey and evolution as an entrepreneur. I’ve always been a fan of the Popeyes brand and I’m thrilled to have the opportunity to join the brand and help create the new Megan Thee Stallion Hottie Sauce for their line-up.”
The Popeyes x Megan Thee Stallion merchandise will feature three exclusive releases. The first collection, Thee Heat, which features bikinis, shirts, hats, tumblers, and plush dog toys, will be dropping at noon on the website TheeHottieSauce.com. The next two additional merchandise releases will be available throughout November.
Megan Thee Stallion became the latest star to collaborate with a fast food chain restaurant, following BTS and Saweetie with McDonalds and Lil Nas X with Taco Bell.
