Reggaeton Artist of the Month for April 2023

Bio

Natalia Alexandra Gutiérrez Batista, better known by her stage name Natti Natasha, is a singer, producer, and collaborator who was born in Santiago de los Caballeros in the Dominican Republic. When she was just eight years old, she was enrolled at the Bellas Artes school of Santiago for singing lessons to hone her musical ability. By the time she turned 14, she started experimenting and writing her own songs, and eventually began recording songs as a hobby. To take one more step toward being a professional artist, she got together with some of her friends and formed the teen group D’Style.

During one of their regional tours, Natasha met Linkon, a producer and A&R scout for Don Omar’s Orfanato Music Group. This led her to begin recording songs for a project he was working on, and ultimately ended up in New York City to work. Omar, impressed with Natasha, asked Linkon to schedule a meeting with her and from that day on, Don Omar became her mentor and has guided her career.

After signing to Orfanato Music Group’s Pina label, her 2012 duet single with Omar, “Dutty Love,” hit number one on virtually every Latin dance and pop chart in the Americas. This duet essentially exploded her onto the reggaetón scene and she currently has a discography that ranges across genres. Natasha has since gone on to collaborate with some of the industry’s biggest names like Ozuna, Bad Bunny, and Becky G while racking up over 1 billion views on YouTube.
