Netflix Psychological Thrillers to Binge Over the Weekend

Political corruption, murders, time travels, mystery islands, and secret spies, this selection has some of the best new thriller additions to the Netflix catalog. They are all 6 episode long or less, which make them perfect to binge-watch during the weekend.

Anatomy of a Scandal

This crime thriller deals with matters of consent as it uncovers the lies the main characters tell themselves to keep not only their public perception intact but also their own self-perception.

Sienna Miller plays Sophie, the wife of conservative Minister James, whose life is swept up in a public scandal. This is a story about money privilege, and politicians who believe they can buy their way through their illegal activities.

Welcome to Eden

Welcome to Eden is a sci-fi, mystery thriller about a group of young people who get invited to a party on an island. However, things are not what they seem, and soon the guests realize the secret island holds some dangerous lies.

Netflix has just confirmed a second season of Welcome to Eden, so we are in for a long ride.

Archive 81

A seemingly normal job offer turns into a nightmare as archivist Dan Turner, embarks on a new mission to restore a collection of damaged videotapes from 1994. There are some very peculiar conditions for this job, and soon enough Dans begins to experience the mysteries behind the tapes and the story they tell about a woman who disappeared decades ago.

There is a connection between the events that occurred 25 years ago and the present moment, and Dan will see himself teetering on the verge of insanity as he travels back and forth in time trying to solve the mystery.

In from the Cold

This little gem is only 8 episodes long. It tells the story of a former Russian spy, who is forced to choose between endangering her family or going back to her old life after her identity is compromised.

Fast, fun, and violent, if you love a good spy story with lots of twists and turns along the way this one is guaranteed to keep you hooked.

Op-Ed: Kardashians New Show Feels More Scripted Than the Last

In an era when the fog of reality TV being “real” seems to have lifted, the new Hulu show centered around the Kardashian family doesn’t hold the same appeal as the original. While I’m no stranger to the fact that the world will watch anything the famous family does, from taking a total of two bites of their food to extravagant parties. The Kardashian’s fame was never in question after they decided to end their E! Network show Keeping Up with the Kardashians after 14 years. What seems to be different about the new show, The Kardashians, is the increased control they have over what is actually shown to the public.
