What do One Direction, Psy, Eminem and Lady Gaga have in common? They are all nominees in the first-ever YouTube Music Awards. The nominations are based on a year’s worth of YouTube data, including likes, comments, views and shares and there are six awards up for grabs, including Video of the Year, Artist of the Year, Response of the Year, YouTube Phenomenon, YouTube Breakthrough and Innovation of the Year. The awards will be handed out on November 3 at a live show featuring performances by Avicii, M.I.A., Earl Sweatshirt, Tyler the Creator, Walk Off the Earth, Eminem, Lady Gaga, Arcade Fire, Lindsey Stirling and CDZA. Winners are determined by the fans, who can vote for their favorites by sharing the official YouTube Music Awards nomination videos on Twitter, Facebook and Google+.
