Official Signature Fall 2014 Fashion Piece: Burberry Monogram Cape!

It always starts on the runway. It’s only nearing the end of September and we already have a signature piece for the fall! Ever since supermodel Cara Delavigne strutted down the runway in this Burberry Monogram Block Cape during their fall 2014 show, celebrities and fashion icons alike have been making it their go to piece. From actress Sarah Jessica Parker who is a fashion icon in her own right to Victoria Secret Angel Rosie Huntington Whiteley, it seems like all of our favorite style icons are down with the trend. The piece was already a big hit among the stars, but it wasn’t until NYC’s favorite style star Olivia Polermo hit the New York streets with it that it became a staple piece for everyone famous or not. Now the color block Burberry coat is sold out almost everywhere! So what is it about this piece that makes it our signature fall trend? Is it that fact what we can’t tell if it’s a poncho, a blanket cape or a wrap jacket? Or is it the fact that we can get our initials on the front, adding our own unique flair? It would be too simple to say that the piece is chic. To be a signature trend, especially for fall, it has to possess something extra special and this definitely has that “it” factor.
