Oluwatoyin Salau’s Case Finally Solved: Murderer Confesses

Oluwatoyin “Toyin” Salau was a 19 year old social justice warrior and Black Lives Matter protester in Tallahassee, FL, who was killed after detailing her sexual assault story on twitter.

While the case seemed like it was going cold, Aaron Glee Jr. reportedly confessed to both the police and his mother that he murdered both Toyin and 75-year old Victoria Sims. He is being charged with kidnapping, murder, and sexual assault in the deaths of Salau and Sims, who went missing on june 6th and 11th.

What reportedly happened is that Glee met Salau at a bus stop on june 6th, and later offered her a place to stay in his home after she told him that she didn’t have a permanent place to stay. The way Sims ties into the narrative is that Glee allegedly called her to pick them up, since she was a community volunteer that often provided Glee with transportation. She dropped them off at Glee’s house.

Skipping over the gruesome details in order to honor Toyin’s legacy, Glee knew that after carrying out the gruesome actions on her, he would be arrested and sent to prison; which is why he ended up killing Toyin instead of releasing her from his kidnapping custody. Investigators also believe that he proceeded to ransack Sim’s apartment, kidnap her, and steal her car; since it was found stuck in the mud outside of his house.

According to the Tallahassee Democrat, Salau and Sims’ bodies were both found at Glee’s home, Sim’s in a bedroom and Salau in the forest behind his house.

Glee is currently in police custody and charged with two counts of kidnapping, murder, and one count of sexual assault. While the two counts of murser are second-degree and premdeciated, a grand jury is actually considering upping the current charges to first degree murder. Glee is currently being held in jail without bond.

Oluwatoyin Salau and Victoria Sims were both extremely selfless and kind women that dedicated their lives to activism and turning their communities into better places. While Salau actively protested against police brutality and was very vocal about anti racism, Sims used to volunteer for AARP and constantly came to the aid of those around her.
