Jordan Terrell Carter aka Playboi Carti, is a popular American rapper. Born in Atlanta, Georgia, Carti began his musical career under the name Sir Cartier on SoundCloud. After a few years of uploading music, he rebranded to Playboi Carti and began to spread out to other creative sites like Newgrounds and YouTube. During that time Carti joined  the underground collective Awful Records, and eventually met with ASAP Rocky following his move to New York City. 

Carti continued to grow, releasing his self-titled debut mixtape in 2017, which made number 12 on the Billboard 200. Carti continued to climb the underground scene, eventually releasing three studio albums and even opening the Opium record label. Carti has sold over two million albums globally and over four million subscribers on YouTube.
