Flashback Artist of the Month for October 2021

Prince had many occupation titles during his career, including singer, producer, actor, songwriter, performer and multiple instrument player. He was a multi-award-winning artist from his career that began in 1975 until his death in 2016.
Among some of his hit songs are “Purple Rain,” “Kiss,” and “When Doves Cry.” The legend is remembered for much more than just his music. He was known to have a unique head-turning style and a love for the color purple.
He also made an attempt to change his name to just a symbol with no actual letters, resulting in his remembered title “The Artist Formerly Known as Prince.” Later, he changed his name back to Prince. He made noteworthy appearances in film and TV shows alongside his music career as well.
In regards to his legacy, many critics call Prince’s Superbowl Halftime Performance of 2007 one of the greatest – if not the greatest – of all time. Additionally he is a member of The Rock and Roll Hall of Fame and has remained one of the best selling artists of all time.
