Romeo Hunte was born in Brooklyn and had an interest in fashion at a young age. His unique clothing is meant to be incorporate luxurious and practical designs. He launched his namesake label in 2013 and continues to launch extraordinary outerwear pieces. Some celebrities that have been styles in Hunte’s clothing is Beyonce and Zendaya. He has also collaborated with Tommy Hilfiger to design clothing, whom he looks up to. Additionally, Hunte is known for emphasizing the need to take a sustainable approach with fashion. 

After the killing of George Floyd in 2020, Hunte recognized the pattern of black designers and creators being underrepresented. “A lot of things are not so inclusive as they’re promoted, sometimes it feels like, as a designer, you can only really get noticed during Black History Month on those things. It can be frustrating, but I think I’ve learned to try not to bring emotion into the business” stated Hunte.
