RWJ Fitness and Wellness Center and the Robert Wood Johnson University Hospital Hamilton’s Center for Health and Wellness are celebrating their 20th anniversary this fall. To commemorate two decades of helping those who need it, they will join forces in hosting a Health and Fitness Fair on Saturday, October 26th. The fair will run from 9 a.m. until 1 p.m. at 3100 Quakerbridge Road in Hamilton and will be free for anyone to enter.
Diane Grillo, the vice president of health promotions at RWJUH Hamilton, helped put this together. She feels this fair can help educate the public differently. She said, “Twenty years ago, we promised to do something bold and different: build a medically based fitness and wellness center that would focus on keeping our community healthy and with the proper education and screening, hopefully out of the hospital. We are extremely proud of what our exceptional caregivers and team members at every level have accomplished in the pursuit of that goal.”
RWJ has planned plenty of fun activities and booths that can help people live a healthier lifestyle. There will be vendors with healthy foods and self-care stations. Some other activities include; health screenings, cooking presentations, wellness programs, and even seasonal crafts for children.
