After being arrested on Monday night, Sean “Diddy” Combs appeared in court yesterday. He is facing charges of sex trafficking, racketeering, and transportation to engage in prostitution, according to the federal indictment. The indictment says, “Members and associates of the Combs Enterprise engaged in, and attempted to engage in, among other activities, sex trafficking, forced labor, interstate transportation for purposes of prostitution, coercion, and enticement to engage in prostitution, narcotics offenses, kidnapping, arson, bribery, and obstruction of justice.”
During his appearance in court Tuesday, Combs pleaded “not guilty” to these charges, yet was denied bail. Combs has spent the last two nights in a cell and will return to court later today. Despite being denied bail, he is expected to appeal the judge’s ruling today. If the bail appeal is rejected by the judge, Combs will be sent back to the detention center. Marc Agnifilo, Combs’ attorney, informed CNN’s Kaitlan Collins on Tuesday evening that Combs is unlikely to accept a plea bargain.
