After being bullied for years throughout his childhood, Shaun Ross has become the first professional male model with albinism. Albinism is a congenital disorder that causes a lack of skin pigmentation, causing Ross who is African American to have light skin and hair. He began modeling at 16 and went on to work with designers and magazines such as Givenchy, Alexander McQueen, GQ and Vogue. He has also appeared in several music videos including Beyonce’s “Pretty Hurts”, Lana Del Rey’s film Tropico, and Katy Perry’s “E.T.”.
