The duo known as Silk Sonic consists of Bruno Mars and Anderson .Paak. The two decided to form a band after touring together in 2017. Their debut single, “Leave the Door Open,” was released in March of this year, while their debut album, An Evening with Silk Sonic, just arrived last month. Silk Sonic’s music has been described as a fusion of 70s disco and funk with modern pop and R&B.

The music video for Silk Sonic’s third single, “Smokin Out The Window,” features Bruno Mars and Anderson .Paak on a stage decorated like those of a 1970ss late night show. The duo performs classic boy band moves with their backup singers like 2 stepping and swinging out from behind the microphone. “Smokin Out The Window” also features comedic moments, such as .Paak playing dead at the line “I wanna die” and the two holding prop cigarettes throughout. All in all, the video proves Mars and .Paak are a duo not to be trifled with.
