Steve Aoki is a Japanese-American DJ and producer. His work in the music industry began in the mid-1990s when he founded his own label, Dim Mak Records. He has won awards such as “Best Set of the Season” at the DJ Awards and “Best Album Mix of the Year” at the Billboard Awards. He is known for his unconventional ways of hyping crowds such as throwing cake at the fans.

Aoki has worked with a wide variety of groups and musicians, including Fall Out Boy, BTS, and the Backstreet Boys. He has a highly recognizable series of discography called Neon Future that contains four parts. He also holds the Guinness World Records for longest crowd cheer and most glow sticks in 30 seconds. 

Outside of the music business, Aoki is interested in funding for brain preservation research and medicine. He has his own organization, the Aoki Foundation that contributes to this research as well as disaster relief and animal rights.
