Allyson Felix shows the power that comes with motherhood

Allyson Felix has more Olympic medals than any other female track and field athlete after winning bronze in the 400-meter dash finals in her second fastest time, 49.46 seconds. She ran the impressive race in sneakers which she designed herself, as a part of her new sneaker line, Saych. The gold medal went to the Bahamas’ Shaunae Miller-Uibo who ran 48.36, and silver went to Marileidy Paulino from the Dominican Republic.

Allyson Felix is taking big steps for women in the male-dominated world of athletic wear. The 35-year-old star sprinter is racing in this year’s Olympics as a mother. Felix has won more medals in Track and Field than any other female Olympian and broke the record for most medals in the World Athletic Championship only 10 months after giving birth.
