On Tuesday morning, Jeff Bezos and his crew arrived at a private launch site in Texas, and prepared for Bezos’ launch into space, which occurred at 9 a.m. Bezos flew on a rocket ship called New Shepard, built by his own company, Blue Origin. The trip is expected to last only ten minutes.

Amazon CEO Jeff Bezos announced Monday that he will be flying to space next month aboard the New Shepard, a rocket ship made by his company, Blue Origin.
In February, Bezos announced that he would be stepping down as CEO of Amazon. He is reportedly set to make this flight to space on July 20, 15 days after his resignation is made official.
