If you’re a WLW (woman-loving-woman) like me, you probably already know the struggle of finding any form of meaningful bi or lesbian representation on TV. Sure, there are plenty of shows that include LGBT characters, but I’m talking about the kind of characters who actually speak to our lived experiences as LGBT women. Below, I’ve included shows that I feel represent lesbians beyond the archetypal skinny white lesbian narrative that dominates most modern WLW media.
