Yesterday (September 8, 2022) the world wept over the loss of Britain’s oldest monarch, and history’s second oldest monarch, Queen Elizabeth II. The Queen passed away peacefully at Balmoral, bringing an end to her 96 year journey through life, and 70 years of service to her country. Upon the announcement of her death to the nation, rainbows were spotted over Windsor Castle, and Buckingham Palace, where crowds of British citizens mourn her loss.
