If you haven’t heard anything about the Johnny Depp and Amber Heard trial, I can only assume you haven’t had access to technology in the last month. As the trial is being heavily televised, analyzation on the internet is difficult to escape. The public’s response has been engaged to say the least, however I’d argue that the obsessive fanbase and Amber Heard hate it has acquired is far from ordinary concerning an issue of domestic abuse. The broadcasting of this trial therefore raises the question of how detrimental this kind of media attention can be to the justice system.
