On Sunday, supporters of the far right, former Brazilian president, Bolsonaro, stormed the Congress, Supreme Court, and Presidential Palace in the capital Brasilia. The attack on Brazil’s capital came just a week after the leftist worker party leader, Luiz Inácio Lula da Silva, became inaugurated as Brazil’s president. The mob was made up of hundreds of Brazilians who trashed offices, broke windows, and destroyed the computer and art equipment on display. Police have arrested 400 rioters since Sunday.
Hundreds of protesters arrived in Ottawa, Canada, where they fought against the COVID restrictions. The police are telling protesters to leave. Many businesses are forced to close due to those COVID restrictions. Prime Minister Justin Trudeau is banning gatherings in Ottawa to limit the spread of COVID-19. If protesters were caught bringing their children to the protest, they would receive a hefty fine.
