Several members of the far-right group the Proud Boys have been indicted for sedition-related charges. With the use of various forms of evidence, the Justice Department moved to charge Proud Boys leader, Enrique Tarrio, and four other leaders with conspiracy in the January 6th attack on the U.S. Capitol. These are the most severe charges brought against the Proud Boys, and the first accusations that the group attempted to use force to stop the presidential transfer of power.
