Trump Pressured Department of Justice to Challenge 2020 Election Results
In a group of emails released by the House Oversight Committee on Tuesday, it was revealed that former President Donald Trump and his allies pressured the former Attorney General Jeffrey Rosen and the Department of Justice to investigate false allegations of voter fraud. Trump replaced his longtime loyal Attorney General William Barr shortly after the election after he came out and said that there was no evidence of voter fraud. Emails from December showed assistants in the Trump Administration actively sending claims of voter fraud from all over the country to the Justice Department, all of which were untrue.
