For the fifth year in a row, New York City will close a large number of its streets to cars and other vehicles in celebration of Earth Day. Over 100 roads across all five boroughs will be car free from 11 a.m. until 5 p.m. on Saturday, April 23rd. The closings will take place the day after Earth Day is officially celebrated, so as not to disturb the week-day workers.
