“Foreign players and coaches will have the right to unilaterally suspend their employment contracts until the end of the season in Russia,” said FIFA. FIFA said they will support Ukraine’s players during the time of the invasion. Some players are on short term contracts with Russia and they do not want to return there after the war is over. It is expected that about 100 players are looking for teams to join in for the new season.
