The 27-year-old English golfer, Matthew Fitzpatrick, has won the 122nd U.S Open, making it his first major golf championship title. Fitzpatrick is the first Englishman to win the U.S. Open since Justin Rose in 2013 and is the youngest player from England to win a major since 1970.
