The Governor of Ohio, Mike DeWine, signed a bill on Monday that will make arming teachers and school staff easier by reducing the hours of training required. The bill will reduce the training requirement from 700 hours to just 24. In a briefing DeWine reasoned that the 700 hours is intended to train law enforcement, and largely irrelevant to a school setting.
