Last week over 90 different civil society groups collectively wrote a letter to U.S President, Joe Biden, urging him not to send foreign troops to Haiti, and to instead support Haitian led diplomatic efforts to achieve political stability. The letter read: “We were heartened to see in your 2022 National Security Strategy a commitment to ‘not use our military to change regimes or remake societies,’ and we encourage you to follow through on that commitment in Haiti.”
