An Australian middle-distance runner and state governor, John Landy made a legendary dash by running the mile in less than four minutes. He may be fast, but he sure does take time to enjoy the beauty that life has to offer. On February 24th, 2022, Landy passed away in Castlemaine, Australia, where he had Parkinson’s disease for a very long time. Running a mile in less than four minutes seemed impossible for humans, even for the fastest runner, but Landy’s performance and perseverance showed that nothing truly is impossible.
