Top Gun: Maverick, a sequel to the classic starring Tom Cruise Top Gun, hit the theaters in the United States on May 27th. According to Paramount over the four-day Memorial Day weekend, it made around $156 million, making it the most grossing film to open on Memorial Day weekend since 2007.
