After what felt like things were taking a turn for the better in her case, Britney Spears is now under investigation for misdemeanor battery after a member of her home staff alleges that Spears had struck her, authorities said on Thursday. The Ventura County Sheriff’s Office says the reports taken by deputies will be handed to prosecutors for consideration.
