Just under eight months have passed since Russia invaded Ukraine, prompting harsh reactions from the West as well as charges of hypocrisy and applying different standards to different situations.
Civilians are being targeted, buildings are being shelled, and an impending refugee crisis hangs over Europe as airstrikes continue to cause death and destruction. If this sounds all too familiar, it’s because it has been happening for a very long time, notably in Palestine and other Middle Eastern and African nations rather than in Europe.
