“It’s not the United States’ role to rush Ukraine to negotiate a settlement with Russia, even if the Biden Administration thought it was the right thing to do,” the former Pentagon spokesman John Kirby said on Sunday. Kirby, speaking to Mike Emmanuel on “Fox News Sunday,” said that it will always be Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky’s call as to if and when to seek a negotiated settlement with President Vladimir Putin and Russia.

U.S. House of Representatives Vote to Suspend Trade with Russia and Belarus
Nearly three weeks after Russia’s invasion of Ukraine, the House of Representatives have voted to suspend regular trade relations with Russia, and its close ally Belarus. The decision comes as an attempt to further isolate Russia’s economy in retaliation for Putin’s aggression towards Ukraine. The vote was nearly anonymous, a bipartisan agreement with 424 yes’s and only 8 no’s.
