Jersey sales for Kansas City Chiefs’ Travis Kelce spiked by nearly 400 percent after Taylor Swift appeared at the team’s Sunday victory over the Chicago Bears, according to sportswear and fan merchandise company Fanatics.
After his touchdown catch, Swift was seen pounding the glass of one of the enclosed suites in celebration, and reportedly chest-bumped backup dancer Kameron Saunders.
Swift and Kelce were later seen leaving Arrowhead Stadium together in what the football player jokingly called “the getaway car.”
While Kelce has an extremely public life and persona, he has reportedly begun taking after Swift’s tendency to keep her personal life private.
“I want to respect both of our lives,” Kelce said on his “New Heights with Jason and Travis Kelce” podcast. “She’s not in the media as much as I am doing this show every single week… So everything moving forward, I think talking about sports and saying ‘alright now’ will have to be kind of where I keep it.”
Kelce also indicated that paparazzi had begun appearing around his Kansas City home since the Sunday game, with “[cameras] in their hands and they’re screaming my name.”
Coach Andy Reid joked to reporters that he set the two up.
While currently on break, Swift’s Eras tour is set to resume Nov. 9 in Buenos Aires.
