Teenagers Plotted “Columbine-style” Attack On Their High School

Four teenagers are being accused of plotting to attack their Pennsylvania high school on the 25th anniversary of the Columbine massacre in 2024.

Fifteen-year-old students, Alyssa Kucharski and Zavier Lewis were arrested and charged as adults with “unlawful possession or manufacture of weapons of mass destruction, terroristic threats with intent to terrorize, aggravated assault, possession of explosive material, and engaging in criminal conspiracy,” according to CNN.

The other two students were charged as juveniles.

Criminal complaints state that Kucharski and Lewis planned to attack Dunmore High School students in a “Columbine-style” attack, targeting three specific staff members and others.

Molotov cocktails and bomb-making materials were found in Kucharski’s home, along with notebooks containing drawings of pipe bombs and lists of guns and ammunition.

Kucharski told authorities that she became “obsessed” with the Columbine shooting, which happened in Colorado on April 20, 1990, after she learned about it at the age of 11 or 12. Lewis and her planned to recreate the shooting at their high school in 2024, the year they were supposed to graduate.

The plot became known after one of the accused teen’s parents found a group chat created in May 2021 named “Natural Born Killers,” that was used to plan out the attack.
