It is way too early to be mentioning the F word, aka fall. One by one companies are ripping away our last few days of summer by launching their fall drinks and snacks. Two competing coffee companies who are guilty of this crime is Starbucks and Dunkin Donuts. While their fall drinks are delicious, should these coffee chains have waited just a little bit longer?
When the word coffee comes up, Starbucks comes to mind for many people. If you are a fan of their signature Pumpkin Spice Latte, then you are in luck because this drink just hit the stores. Like some of their drinks, you either love or hate this drink. I personally think that it is not fall without the PSL.
Along with the Pumpkin Spice Latte, Starbucks has also launched their Pumpkin Cream Cold Brew, which is to die for, and the Apple Crisp Macchiato. You can pair these drinks with the Fox cake pop or the Pumpkin Scone.
Starbucks is not the only chain that has been preparing for fall. According to Dunkin’, they are “turning up the pumpkin heat earlier than ever before with an incredible fall menu.” This pumpkin heat includes their new Pumpkin Cream Cold Brew, Pumpkin Spice Signature Latte, Pumpkin Flavored Coffees, Donut, Muffin and MUNCHKINS Donut Hole Treats. Aside from their pumpkin collection, they are indulging in apple flavors by launching the new Apple Cranberry Dunkin’ Refreshers, Apple Cranberry Dunkin’ Coconut Refreshers, the Apple Cider Donut.
While Dunkin Donuts has been stepping up their coffee game, it is hard to deny that Starbucks is the reigning champion of fall drinks. Their Pumpkin Spice Latte has its’ own aesthetic. The only real way to settle this battle is to try both for yourself!
