The Best Characters in Stranger Things

Stranger Things has become one of the most successful television series in the past ten years. Ever since its release in 2016, it was an immediate success, and the hype hasn’t died down. One of the best parts of the series is its unique characters.

While there are many iconic Stranger Things characters, there are a few that have stolen the hearts of fans. Here’s a list of the best characters in Stranger Things:

Eddie Munson

Eddie Munson (Joseph Quinn) is easily one of the best new characters in the Stranger Things series. He’s a wild card and brings an element of wit and sarcasm that kept us laughing throughout season 4.

Murray Bauman

Murray Bauman (Brett Gelman) – the slightly paranoid ace private investigator, the proud owner of an exceptional beard, and an expert in karate. A man of many talents, Murray has played a significant role in saving the world on more than one occasion since his introduction in season 2.  He is a cynical character but has an uncanny ability to read people and never holds back. His endless hilarity and undeniable wit make him hard to forget.

Robin Buckley

Robin Buckley (Maya Hawke), introduced in season 3, can speak many languages (which is useful when trying to crack a secret Russian code). Her quirky and talk-first-think-later personality makes her friendship with Steve Harrington one of the best in the show.

Erica Sinclair

Sure, she’s the youngest of the monster killers, but Erica Sinclair (Priah Ferguson) dominates every conversation with her quick wit. Throwing out savage insults and absolutely roasting her older brother, Lucas, Erica’s presence in a scene is something I think everyone can look forward to.

Steve Harrington

The Most Beloved Babysitter. Steve Harrington (Joe Keery) went from a popular bully to forming friendships with Dustin and Robin, turning him into a kind and beloved character in the series. The best scenes with Steve involve bickering with Dustin and being put in charge of –

or babysitting – the youngest characters in the show. Hence why he’s “The Most Beloved Babysitter”.

Dustin Henderson

I simply cannot skip Dustin Henderson (Gaten Matarazzo) on this list. Although he’s naïve at times, Dustin often acts as the peacemaker, and his constant curiosity has saved his friends on many occasions. He’s one of the funniest characters on the show, and his friendship with Steve is a highlight of the entire series.

All four seasons of Stranger Things are available on Netflix, with the fifth season set to release in late 2024.
