First there was the attack on the actor Ric Moranis in October in which he was sucker punched in the morning right outside Central Park. Last week the suspect was finally arrested. It turned out he was an EDP with a long rap sheet of assault charges. Soon after the actor Alex Weisman was attacked in the afternoon as he waited to catch a subway downtown. As you can see he suffered severe injuries. The Guardian Angels are in pursuit of his suspect. The police have not yet released a picture or sketch of the person wanted in this brutal attack. To his credit Alex said “I love NYC. I’m staying here and once I recover I will ride the subways again.” He lives up to our Guardian Angels tradition which always asks people in a time of crisis to improve, not move.
