“The Happy Fits” is a three-man band from New Jersey, creating Indie Rock music since 2016 when they were all in high school. Members include Calvin Langman on lead vocals and cello, Ross Monteith on vocals and guitar, and Luke Davis on drums. By the time they graduated high school, they had written four songs together, and were given the funds to make their first EP as a graduation present.

Their first album in 2016, Awfully Apeelin’, luckily got discovered by a magazine music writer who passed it on to Spotify employees, listing their song “While You Fade Away” on a Fresh Finds playlist, boosting their overall popularity. Since then, all three members have dropped out of college in order to pursue their music careers, and they have amassed almost 2 million Spotify listeners, while also releasing new music every year.

“The Happy Fits” credit bands like The Arctic Monkeys and Violent Femmes as inspiration, releasing music that has a chill energy and is ideal for a summer day. Each one of their album covers features a piece of fruit on it, showcasing the fresh style of music that they have curated. While the band’s homebase is now New York City, they recently played at the BottleRock Napa Valley music festival, and will continue to perform at smaller venues across the country in the coming months.
