Congratulations are in order! Over the weekend, Prince Harry, Duke of Sussex, got married to Meghan Markle, an American actress. This event is historical for a few reasons. First, Meghan Markle is an American Actress, and she does not come from royalty. Second, Meghan Markle is half African-American, making her the first African American Duchess of Sussex, or any member of royalty. Meghan identifies as a feminist and didn’t want to be “given away” to Harry. She arrived at the Chapel on her own and was accompanied by Prince Charles, her father-in-law, down the aisle. In addition, she has been previously married, something that is considered taboo in the royal family. She wore a beautiful Givenchy gown and spent months working with the designer. A wind-driven wildfire burned down up to 20 homes in Southern California on Wednesday. The fire, which has now been named the Coastal fire, has grown to 199 acres since it began on Wednesday. According to CalFire, it is 0% contained, and winds up to 30mph have helped the flames grow.
