Seth Meyes Gives His Last Weekend Update

February 6th, 2014   admin   Uncategorized

With just weeks to go before he takes over as host of The Late Show, comedian Seth Meyers made his final appearance behind the Saturday Night Live Weekend Update Desk. Meyers, who had been on the popular late-night program for a decade, choked up as some of his friends and former cast members showed up to help send him off. “This is the job I always wanted, and I had the best time and I met the best people,” said Meyers, who was flanked by current cast member Cecily Strong, former SNL favorites Amy Poehler and Andy Samberg, and Bill Hader, who showed up as the popular Stefon character. Even Fred Armison made a last-second cameo as former New York Governor David Patterson. It was a fitting sendoff for Meyers, who Poehler called “the heart of this show for over a decade.” Later this month, Meyers will replace Jimmy Fallon as he moves into the host’s chair at the Tonight Show.
