So it seems as if there was a #FlashbackSunday memo that we did not receive. Last night, for the 2014 MTV Video Music Awards, Katy Perry, Riff Raff, and Amber Rose showed up in ensembles that were reminiscent of some of the most unforgettable moments in VMA fashion history. Back in 2001, a time when the most loved couple in pop music, Britney Spears and Justin Timberlake, was still together, they showed up at the Video Music Awards in matching denim outfits. They were honestly so cute we forgave them for the fashion faux pa immediately, but we never forget the outfits. It seems as if Katy Perry and Riff Raff didn’t either as they showed up last night wearing matching denim outfits as well. To top it off Riff Raff had bright pink braids in his hair. As if that wasn’t enough, let us go back even further to 1998 when Rose McGowan showed up to the VMA’s in the infamous barely there dress that left people speechless. Amber Rose, apparently never forgot the dress as she showed up last night in a 2014 version of the barely there dress herself. Although to Amber Rose’s credit, she is not showing as much skin as McGowan, it’s safe to say these stars weren’t trying to leave any room for the imagination.
