It is tragic that a lot of artists are only truly appreciated after their deaths. Michael Jackson and Whitney Houston being the main examples as sales for their music skyrocketed after they passed away. What is even more tragic is that these artists have given us so much and probably could have given us more had it not been for some bad decisions. I am among many who are guilty of only appreciating something after it is gone. After spending the last week listening to mostly Whitney Houston, it is only now I realize what a truly amazing singer she is. Beautiful, graceful, breathtaking are just some of the adjectives you can use to describe this legend. Her music will live on well past even my generation. So on behalf of music lovers everywhere, Thank You Whitney.
I know we’re only three weeks in, but it must be said that Earl Sweatshirt has already dropped an early album of the year contender with his latest album SICK!, the follow-up to his fantastic, critically acclaimed album Some Rap Songs.
