Zaz, or Isabelle Geffroy, brings the raspy, cool tones of her voice in French jazz music. Known for her hit single “Je veux,” Zaz had a mother who taught Spanish and a father who worked in an electric company.

Zaz started her singing career in 2001 with the blues band “Fifty Fingers.” She sang in numerous musical groups and later went independent to pursue her own style of music. In 2011, she won the European Border Breakers Award which honors artists who successfully reached audiences outside of their country with their first released album.
