Luis Gil is a rising Dominican baseball player. Born in Azua in 1998, Gil began his career in the minor leagues in 2015, where he joined the Dominican Summer League Twins, a rookie league affiliate with the Minnesota Twins. 

 

After being traded to multiple minor league teams including the Pulaski Yankees, the Charleston RiverDogs, Tampa Tarpons and the Somerset Patriots, Gil made his major league debut with the The New York Yankees August 2021. As a pitcher Gil has made 122 strikeouts in his career.
