Early this morning, a fight broke out in a Manhattan train station, the fight resulted in one of the men getting stabbed in the neck.
The stabbing occurred on the northbound 4 train platform inside the 96th Street and Lexington Avenue subway station.
Local police announced that no arrests had been made and the suspect fled the scene before being identified.
As for the victim, the 52-year-old male was taken to NY Presbyterian-Cornell Medical Center for treatment and is in stable condition according to multiple reports. As of now, no other information has been released to the public, and the circumstances leading up to the assault are still unclear.
This stabbing comes less than a week after another stabbing took place on a different subway train in Times Square. Two teenagers were stabbed during a quarrel over a credit card, and both were taken to a local hospital. Reports say that both were stable.
In addition, the police were able to take the suspect into custody at the Jefferson Houses in East Harlem. He was later charged with assault.
