Broncos @ Saints Thursday Night Football Preview

Tonight, the Denver Broncos will take on the New Orleans Saints as Sean Payton returns to the Big Easy. Payton, who coached the Saints to a Super Bowl in 2009, is now the head coach in Denver where he has the Broncos at 3-3.

The Broncos will be led by their rookie quarterback, 12th overall pick Bo Nix. Nix has had his ups and downs so far this season, throwing for 1,082 yards, five touchdowns, and five interceptions.

On the other hand, the Saints lost Derek Carr to injury in week five and rolled with a rookie QB of their last week, Spencer Rattler. Rattler had 243 yards passing, 27 rushing yards, one touchdown, and two picks. He showed some flashes in his NFL debut but still has some work to do.

With two relatively inexperienced quarterbacks going at it, I foresee a lot of turnovers, because these two gunslingers are willing to put the ball in harm’s way to make a play. But this could also lead to a lot of touchdowns and explosive plays.

Sutton from the Broncos is set for a breakout game, even up against the tough challenge of Marshon Lattimore. I believe Sutton will outshine him. On the opposite side, Kamara is set for an even bigger game with Olave and Shaheed out for New Orleans, and I expect plenty of touches for him all game long.

This game will be a shootout and I see the Broncos edging out the Saints in a close one, 28-24.
