The Most Anticipated TV Shows of 2025

A New Year means new releases, and without strikes to delay the production time of shows, fans are getting treated in 2025.

2025 will see some new shows but also some familiar returns. Some returns include Tim Burton’s “Wednesday” returning for a second season on Netflix and “The Last of Us” on Max. Fans can also expect the fifth and final season of “Stranger Things,” which will take place a year after the events of season four.

Besides the fan-favorite returns, here are the most anticipated new shows you should expect to see:

‘Daredevil: Born Again’ – Disney+

Nearing the end of phase five of the MCU, fans will get several new movies and series. “Daredevil: Born Again” will be a continuation of the previous Daredevil series. Some of the original cast members, like Deborah Ann Woll, Elden Henson, and Jon Bernthal, will make their return to the series.

‘The Residence’ – Netflix

An upcoming white house murder mystery drama series, created by Paul William Davies and produced by Shondaland, will premiere on March 20th. The series was inspired by Kate Andersen Brower’s “The Residence: Inside the Private World of the White House” and will star Uzo Aduba.

‘Alien: Earth’ – FX and HULU

Scheduled to premiere in the summer of 2025, “Alien: Earth” is an upcoming science fiction horror television series based on the Alien franchise. The series is written and directed by Noah Hawley and will star actors Alex Lawther, Timothy Olyphant, Essie Davis, Samuel Blenkin, Babou Ceesay, David Rysdahl, Adrian Edmondson, Adarsh Gourav, Jonathan Ajayi, Erana James, Lily Newmark, Diem Camille and Moe Bar-El.

‘Suits LA’ – NBC

“Suits LA” not to be confused with its mother show “Suits” were both created by Aaron Kosh. “Suits LA” will follow Ted Black, played by Stephen Amell, a New York federal prosecutor who has sought a new chapter in Los Angeles. Black is said to represent some of the biggest names in Los Angeles, and he will have to take some risks in order to save his firm.

‘We Were Liars’ – Prime Video

“We Were Liars” will be an adaptation of E. Lockhart’s young-adult novel of the same name. The series is said to follow the structure of the television adaptation of “The Summer I Turned Pretty.” “We Were Liars” is about a wealthy family who spends every summer on their private island. The main character, Cadence, is the teenage daughter in the family who suffered a head injury in one of the previous summers, and she can barely remember the events of that summer.

‘IronHeart’ – Disney+

The six-episode “Ironheart” series will conclude phase five of the MCU. Dominique Thorne’s Riri Williams is expelled from MIT and ends up working with Anthony Ramos’s The Hood, discovering secrets of technology and magic.

Some highly anticipated shows will also start filming in 2025. This includes the new untitled Harry Potter Series, set to be released in 2026, which will begin production in the summer of 2025.

There will be way more shows in 2025 than you can expect to watch, but with this exciting lineup of new releases and beloved series returning, 2025 promises to be a thrilling year for TV fans.
